Reporting about tourism development in Carelia

Today I finally finished a raport for WWF Sweden about study trip and seminar in Olonets. Carelia, Russia. I travelled there in 20-24th of June 2006 to study the network of guesthouses in the Olonets region (Olonia), share the Estonian experience and give some „expert“ recommendations for tourism development in Olonia. It was an exiting travel as well, I have choosed to travel by personal car, one reson behind the idea is to try „real product“ - how it is for Estonian citizen to take holiday in Carelia. In fact it has been a quite popular destinatoin for Estonians in the soviet time. There are many reasons for that, like great nature and last but not least – Carelian language is Fenno-Ugric, similar to Estonian.
